Sprunki controls
Drag a sound icon from the lower tray onto a character using a mouse or touch. Use the edition’s on-screen controls to change or remove sounds and restart a mix.
Start with an audible foundation
The publisher describes a combination-based music game with character sounds and hidden combinations. That does not mean every sound must play at once. Begin with one repeating part, listen to its full cycle, and add a contrasting part. Leave space to hear whether each new layer contributes something different.
A four-pass mixing exercise
- Rhythm pass: choose a simple pulse and keep it unchanged while experimenting elsewhere.
- Contrast pass: add a sound with a different register or rhythm so it does not simply mask the first.
- Subtraction pass: remove one layer at a time. If the result becomes clearer, the extra part was not essential.
- Variation pass: change a single character, then compare. Several simultaneous changes make it hard to know what improved.
Why a mix can feel crowded
